Caranne started as a volunteer with Voters Not Politicians in March 2017 and joined the  staff in July 2019. As Operations Manager, she helps to run the “business” side of this family of organizations that work on good government reforms.

Caranne has called Michigan home for most of her life. She has degrees from Western Michigan University in English and Sociology, and has enjoyed exploring the opportunities available in several different sectors, from major local television affiliates to institutes for higher education.

The coolest place she’s been is Tobago, and her favorite things (in no particular order) are: her nephew, Spring, cats, and telling it like it is.

“There’s not a single life accomplishment I’m more proud of than being a tiny part of helping to pass Prop 2 in 2018. I thought I was ‘just volunteering,’ but that experience completely transformed my life, and I’m so grateful for it.”
