Melissa started volunteering with Voters Not Politicians in 2017, serving many roles, including petition circulator, canvasser, team captain, Kalamazoo County Field Coordinator, and Regional Field Director. She was thrilled to join the staff in 2021 and put her passions for democracy and being helpful into action full time.

Her other interests include: reading, gardening, hiking, and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Oakland University.
