Protecting the Freedom to Vote
In 2020, Michigan voters turned out in record numbers to cast their ballots and make their voices heard. Before the polls had even closed, politicians and special interest groups began spreading misinformation about voter fraud and attempted to interfere with the counting of ballots and stop the certification process, and even attempted to illegally seat fake electors to change the results of the 2020 election.
The Voters Not Politicians Education Fund is directly combating “The Big Lie,” a relentless, nationally coordinated, multi-state effort to spread election misinformation.
Our goal is to protect and restore voter confidence in Michigan’s electoral process and democracy.

Protect Voter Confidence in Michigan’s Electoral Process
Michigan voters across party lines overwhelmingly have confidence in the election process, but lawmakers, special interest groups, and bad actors are trying to erode that confidence for political gain by spreading disinformation and by trying to pass laws to allow partisan tampering with elections. Voters Ed Fund is working to educate voters on the basics of Michigan’s nonpartisan Electoral Process and alert the public of ways bad actors are trying to damage the process.

Voting Access in Michigan
Voters Ed Fund is engaging volunteers, community leaders, and partners in a 2022 Voter Outreach effort to ensure voters know their early voting options including clerk office hours and dropboxes, and help voters stay resistant to disinformation around voting and voting systems.
